Pasco police recently announced a new ordinance is going into effect to stop loud car stereos.

The new ordinance has to do with those loud, vibrating, booming, car-shaking stereos we just 'love' to sit next to. If a police officer can hear it within 75 feet, you're going to get a $250 fine.

Pasco authorities say it's more than just an annoyance to other drivers. Research and statistics have shown drivers who crank up their music to unbearably high levels are more likely to get in an accident involving emergency vehicles.

It's the same argument as not wearing headphones while driving -- you can't hear sirens when the music is that loud. So what are your thoughts? Do you agree? take our poll below.
