BOTH Drivers Facing Charges in Truck vs. Motorcycle Crash
In an unusual twist, both vehicle operators in last night's truck vs. motorcycle crash were given citations.
Around 8:20 pm police were called to the intersection of Canal Drive and North Neel street, and found a motorcycle had crashed into the side of a truck.
Police say the truck driver, Adam McDowell (age not listed) had failed to yield while trying to turn across Canal Drive. This resulted in the cycle, ridden by Jacob Robinson (age not listed) slamming into him. Robinson sustained injuries and was transported to Kadlec Medical Center, but they were not life threatening. Police say because Robinson was wearing a helmet, he likely avoided much more serious issues.
While McDowell was cited for failure to yield, Robinson was also cited because he was riding on a suspended license.
