West Richland police apprehended a 25-year-old man after the owner of a popular West Richland eatery spotted him on video, having broken into his business.

Around 6:45PM Tuesday, police were called to the JD's Diner and captured the man, whose name was not given, as he was coming out the back door.

According to an internet search, it shows JD's as 'temporarily closed,' or perhaps offering take out only. Either way, the owner saw the suspect on security camera, and police arrived in about 60 seconds after the call. We don't know if owner was there, or alerted by one of those 'remote' security apps.

Probably surprised the perp they got there that fast. Whatever the man took with him as he left? Now back in the hands of the owner.
