Pasco Police say a 37-year-old man is in custody after allegedly pushing a relative out of their own car, then driving off and leaving them stranded on I-182 at 4AM Tuesday morning.

Officers say Robert Soto was arrested Tuesday at a home near Road 30 and Agate St. later in the day around 7AM.  Police say he left the person alongside the highway.

After getting a tip, officers surrounded the home. Soto originally refused to surrender but after realizing the house was covered by more officers and Regional SWAT team, he finally gave up.

NO mention of any injuries in the original incident, but Soto is now facing an investigative hold that includes theft of a motor vehicle and robbery.
