Extreme Close-Up View of Lava Is Simply Mesmerizing
Yes, it's the dead of winter and a good portion of the country is being held hostage by a deep freeze, so why not take a look at something that'll make you really, really warm?
This is incredible video of an up-close view of lava, taken in Hawaii. The video was actually made in 2013, but only now getting notice, so you could say it's taken a "lava" time to catch on (sorry, but we had to do it!).
The video was actually made using a five-foot-long camera pole, which enabled the unique viewpoint. You don't want to get too close, after all -- lava is a balmy 2,000 degrees!
