Sunday night, a desperate shoplifter ran through traffic across Highway 395 in an attempt to flee police, only to be brought down by a Taser.

Around 7:30pm 35-year-old Danielle Donnelly was confronted and ran from the Fred Meyer store at 10th and Highway 395 after she was seen taking a large amount of cosmetics and some clothing.

After she bolted from the store, she tried to get away by running across Highway 395 through moving traffic. However, a responding Kennewick Police officer spotted her on the other side, gave chase, and when she refused to stop and follow commands, he fired his Taser.

Donnelly was not injured by the Taser or chase, she's now in the Benton County jail facing multiple theft charges.
