So far we've had a pretty mild fall and we even broke the daily high temperature for December 1st at almost 70. It appears that we are looking at a mild winter but as you know, looks can be deceiving.

We are a little over two weeks away from Christmas Day and so far, not even a sign of snow in the Tri-Cities.

Are We Going To Get A White Christmas In The Tri-Cities?

We've had wind and we've had rain but no snow.

I think last year, we even had snow near Thanksgiving but so far 2021 has been a dud for snow in the Columbia Basin.

Tri-Cities Broke The High Daily Temperature On December 1st, 2021

Of course, it's the Tri-Cities and we know that can change at the drop of a hat. I've been looking ahead in the forecast to see if we are going to get any snow for Christmas Day 2021.

Accuweather.com is predicting our first little bit of snow perhaps on December 14th but that seems to be the soonest we could get snow in the Tri-Cities.

The mountains and higher elevations have already seen plenty of snow but so far it's been brown around the basin.

What Are The Chances Tri-Cities Is Getting Snow On Christmas Day 2021?

Looking ahead to Christmas Day 2021, It does look like we are getting a chance of snow.

According to Accuweather.com, We'll have a chance of a snow shower on December 25th in the morning and then another chance of a snow shower in the afternoon. It's only 30% of precipitation Christmas morning currently but as we get closer to Christmas Day, that could change.

Right now, we have a chance for a White Christmas and that's alright by me.
