22-year old Daniel Wayne Taylor was found in the unused concession stand at the former Little League baseball field on Fallon Drive in West Richland.   Known to some as "Elks Field," it was the predecessor to the current Bombing Range Baseball Facility.

Taylor's body was found inside the old concession building Saturday night,  he had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The  Benton County Coroner says dental records from the Washington State Department of Corrections were used to identify Taylor.

Police were called to the area by passers by who reported a very strong, foul odor coming from the building last weekend.   Authorities say they don't know anyone who has keys to the building, and Taylor apparently entered by breaking through a window.

Officials didn't say if they knew how long Taylor had been dead inside the building, but at the time of his discovery, the body was already decomposing.

Some reports indicate West Richland police said a shotgun was found next to Taylor's body.
