No word yet on a body found near Walla Walla on July 6

On the afternoon of July 6, last Wednesday, the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office released information that a citizen notified them they'd found what they believed to be a body, the location was not disclosed but said to be in the county east of town.

Upon arrival, the WWCSO, the Walla Walla Regional Task Force, and the Washington State Patrol Crime lab thoroughly searched the area and took custody of the human remains.

The WWCSO says the body was sent to Spokane for an autopsy on July 7th.  However, no other information has since been released.

According to the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin, WWCSO officials say they had not been able to ID the "victim" yet (as of July 8)

There's been no timetable given for the release of information either.
