Body Found by Fishermen in Franklin County Reservoir Sunday Eve

Body found in Scooteney Reservoir north of Pasco

The Scooteney Reservoir is a popular fishing area about 36 miles north of Pasco in Franklin County, not far from Connell and Othello.

Sunday evening around 7 PM Franklin County Detectives and investigators were called to the shoreline or willows area after getting a call about a body.

According to officials, some kids who were fishing found the body in the shallow water by the shoreline area. The body was apparently in an advanced state of decomposition, located in the cattails on the western shore of the water.

The area has been secured, and according to the FCSO, state crime lab officials and investigators will continue through today, Monday, investigating.

The FCSO says no other information will be released just yet, but did say they have no missing person reports that would lead them to believe this body is related to such a case.
