Discharging Firearm Gets Kennewick Teenager Busted
If you live in the Southridge area, you might've heard what sounded like gunshots late last night and you would've been correct.
Some teenagers were messing around and shooting off a firearm in the area of Bob Olson Highway and S. Montana Street and ended up getting cited for unlawful discharge of a firearm.
According to reports from the Kennewick Police Department, here is what transpired:
On 02/11/20 at approximately 12:30 AM, Officers with the help of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bob Olson Hwy and S Montana St, after hearing what sounded like a possible firearm being discharged multiple times. The vehicle was seen leaving the area. Three occupants were detained. A handgun could be observed inside the vehicle. After interviewing the occupants, Miguel Garcia (19), was cited for unlawful discharge of a firearm. It does not appear the firearm was discharged at anyone and no damage could be located on any property.
