Double Armed Robbery Suspect Runs Down Busy Street, Easy Pickings For Cops
Because Kennewick police said they are not looking for additional suspects from a pair of early Monday morning robberies, it appears they got a two-for-one bust. If the suspect hadn't decided to flee down the side walk on a busy street, he might have gotten away.
Around 1:31 am the 7-11 at West 3606 Clearwater was held up at gunpoint by a man who later apparently knocked off the Circle K at Kellogg and Clearwater around 4am.
After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, apparently 21-year-old Kevin Krupkat Jr of Kennewick pushed his luck and held up the Circle K around 4am. However, a man matching the clerk's description of Krupkat was seen fleeing West on Clearwater, and he was stopped and arrested without incident.
According to reports, a man sprinting down the sidewalk away from a crime scene is pretty easy to spot at 4am, and the arrest was not difficult.
Kennewick police said they are not looking for any additional suspects from the two robberies, so it appears Krupke Jr was their man for both.
