
Driver Sought After Wild Kennewick Car Chase and Crash
As officers told our news partner KNDU-TV, every vehicle has a license plate and VIN number, so it will just be a matter of time before the wild suspect driver is caught.
Late Friday, Kennewick police chased a Nissan Maxima that they tried to pull over near 1st. and Washington streets. After a short time, it was determined the chase would be a threat to public safety and it was terminated.
But even after police pulled back, the driver shut off their lights, and continued to speed away at a high rate of travel. The vehicle was later found abandoned, possibly having crashed into a fence near North Olympia and West Bruneau.
The driver will be charged with a number of offenses, including felony eluding an officer. The clock is ticking on the suspect...
