Driver Who Hit Car, then Roundabout Crash Wasn’t Drunk

Late Saturday night, an 18-year-old woman not only took out a car, but then crashed into a roundabout where a lot of folks have taken out the fence.

Officers say Kimberly Vincent was driving in the 2100 block of South Reed Street when she hit the gray Dodge pictured in our story. She fled the scene, but then crashed again not far from that scene when she failed to negotiate the roundabout at 19th and Union.

Reed, say police, called them after the second crash rendered her car undriveable. Remarkably, police say it does not appear drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. She is facing, at least for now, charges for the suspicion of hit and run. The investigation continues.
