Drunk Driver Motors Right Up to Officer at Crime Scene

Pasco Police were busy on the graveyard shift early Wednesday morning, and one of their investigations literally fell into their lap.

Around 1AM officers were investigating a crime in the 6100 block of Ochoco Lane, when a guy comes motoring by in this pickup. The driver was later ID'd as a friend of the famiily. According to Pasco Police he then began:

"...driving down the street erratically, according to the officer standing on the front yard at the time. The pickup drove up and down a curbline, did a U-turn, came back and drifted up into the front yard, parking crookedly next to the house, alarming the officer."

The driver immediately got out, but was promptly arrested. 39-year-old Zane Patrick Lane of Richland was arrested, and is facing DUI besides a variety of traffic violations.
