Work is back to normal at Hanford after workers were evacuated for a possible radiation leak. The radiation reading was detected near Tank C-101in the 200 east area. The Department of Energy said a transfer system may have leaked radioactive waste.

The C tank farm workers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservations were evacuated at 9:15 p.m. last night due to the unusual radiation reading. Entry to the reservation was prohibited and all the workers were ordered out.

After sweeping the floors, crews found no spills in the area of detection.

To prevent possible contamination, the crews applied a fixative to a three-square-foot area. Four workers were sent to Kadlec Regional Medical Center to get checked, but were cleared by doctors.

No contamination was found on any of the workers and they've all been cleared to return back to work.
