Feds Offer Up $10K Reward For Huge Arms Theft, Arson in Yakima
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are heavily involved as is the FBI, so this one is SERIOUS.
Jason Chudy of the ATF Friday released information that a $10K reward is being offered for information leading to the apprehension of the suspect, or suspects, responsible for the theft of at least 27 firearms from the Yakima Bi-Mart. They're also including the subsequent fire at the facility, which they say is related.
January 17th the weapons were stolen from the store at 1207 North 40th Ave in Yakima, and a fire set apparently after the theft caused over $1 million in damages.
Anyone with any information can contact the ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS, or go to ATFTips@atf.gov.
According to our sister station KIT-AM in Yakima, local officials believe multiple people were involved, and the fire was perhaps set to cover up the burglary.
