A suspect is in custody over the bomb threat that was called into Columbia Basin College and the business office of Newstalk 870-Townsquare media.

Steven Eugene Brown of Kennewick was arrested at his home in connection with the threats that were called in July 18 to the business office here at Newstalk 870 and left on a voicemail at CBC.

Kennewick police made the arrest. Brown is now in the Franklin County Jail on suspicion of having made the threats. While no explosives were ever found, authorities have not said why Brown allegedly made the threats, or if he has any connection to the school.
