Fortunately, no one was killed, but a 23-year-old woman sustained injuries when her car rolled.

Just after midnight Sunday morning, near Ellensburg, a Pasco man was transporting a mattress eastbound on I-90 near Cle Elum, when it fell out of his truck and landed on the road.

The woman, Sandra Kay of Ellensburg, saw it at the last minute, and swerved to avoid.  However, her car sped off the road, rolled and finally stopped in the ditch. She and a male passenger were injured and taken to the hospital in Ellensburg for treatment.

42-year-old Timothy Day of Pasco was cited for driving with an unsecured load.
