Food Bound for Texas Roadhouse Winds Up Very “Well Done”
Fortunately, the driver was able to escape without any injury.
But the same could not be said for his truck. Benton County Fire District #1 officials now say it was a brake issue that triggered the tire. It set fire to one of the tires on a semi-truck hauling a huge load bound for the Texas Road House in Kennewick.
Thursday morning, the tire caught fire after one of the brake components exploded. The fire spread fast, the driver able to pull over and get out. But the flames consumed the entire trailer. American Rock Products brought out a front loader to help clear the ruined debris.
The incident occurred near the Locust Grove exit off I-82 headed towards Kennewick.
