Rocky Mullen will be joining Clint Didier (District 3) as a Franklin County Commissioner after winning the District 2 seat, 60-39 over his Democratic challenger.

But the real fireworks were in the District 1 race.  The Franklin County Republican party officially pulled their endorsement from incumbent Brad Peck, and threw their support behind write in candidate Steve Bauman. The scuffle involved a variety of issues within the district, some which had been brewing for some time.

Things got testy, and included having some ads pulled off media over allegations of falsehoods.

When the smoke cleared, Peck emerged with the win, just over 43 percent of the vote, while Democratic challenger Kim Lehrman was close at just over 38. Bauman, the write in, got 18.7 percent.

It was a very 'spirited' campaign, and many of the 'issues' that came to head during the campaign will continue to linger. We will be watching.
