Graffiti One Thing, But Tagging a New Cop Shop?

Some view graffiti as an 'art expression,' others as ugly and often a sign of gang activity.

Ellensburg police are now investigating a case where their brand new police station was tagged.

An officer noticed Thursday morning someone had spray painted in large letters a curse word that starts with F, ends in K then the words "Police Ellensburg."

The building, which used to also house a fire district, was taken over by the department and is nearly done being remodeled and expanded. According to the Ellensburg Daily Record, the department has moved in and occupies the renovated part of the building.

No mention made of any surveillance cameras on location, it's possible they have not yet been installed during the second phase of the remodel.

The investigation continues.
