Grandview Shooter Leaves Bullet Holes in Troopers Windshield
After a suspect shot at a Washington State Patrol car Monday night, a serious manhunt is on.
Around 9pm, the officer tried to pull over a car driven by two men near Forsell Road off Highway 241. The trooper was going to stop them for speeding.
But they fled, and after a short chase lasting several minutes, the car pulled into a driveway of a home near Forsell Road. The suspects fired several shots at the car, but the officer was not injured. He was able to hide behind his patrol car.
The WSP released some images, including this one showing bullet holes in the windshield. The two suspects were last seen running towards a rural area off the road. The shooting occurred slightly southwest and not that far from the Walmart distribution center near Grandview.
SWAT teams are searching area orchards, buildings and other structures, according to the Tri-City Herald.
The only description of the two men is that they are both dark skinned.
