Grant County Deputy Fired Over Domestic Violence Allegations
The alleged incident occurred in late April, and now a Grant County Deputy has been let go.
Authorities say Deputy Corey Linscott was investigated following an April 26th incident at his Qiuncy, WA home, in which he allegedly grabbed the throat of his adult stepson and forced him out of the house.
Linscott, say authorities, had apparently had some differences with the boy, and a verbal incident escalated. Previous reports indicated after the altercation, Linscott left the home but returned later after the stepson and his mother were gone.
The Quincy Police Department has completed an investigation and the case has been forwarded to the Grant County Prosecutor for consideration of charges. The Grant County Sheriff's department has also been conducting it's own investigation.
Linscott was facing Fourth Degree Domestic Violence charges. He was not on duty during the time of the altercation.
