Hermiston DMV Remodel Will Close Office June 19-28

Officials say the remodel will dramatically improve wait times and ease operations.

If you're looking to renew your license soon in Hermiston, you might want to do it now  or you'll have to wait a bit.

The Department of Motor Vehicles office at 945 SE Fourth Street will be closing starting June 19 for an extensive remodel, and is slated to reopen July 1. The office has not seen any renovations or improvements since it moved into its current location some 30 years ago.

Officials say if your license requires renewal during that period,  it's a good idea to do it early. Due to the closure, they expect extra-large numbers of customers July 1 through the following week for renewals, and wait times could be longer.
