Pasco Police say the suspect in this early Monday morning shooting is known to them.

WHAT PROMPTED POLICE RESPONSE?

Officers were called to a home in the area of Court Street and Road 96 (well into West Pasco) for reports early Monday of shots being fired.

Upon arrival, witnesses said the fire seemed to be concentrated or coming from a certain home.  Police have focused their investigation on the adult son of the particular homeowners.

DOES HE HAVE A HISTORY WITH POLICE?

Officers say the suspect has a history of battling mental issues, and drugs as well. Fortunately no one was hurt by any gunfire, but now a bulletin has been issued and Pasco PD and others are looking for the man, whose name was not released.

The man's relatives are cooperating with the investigation, additional searches taking place to find more evidence. This is the latest example of the need for the proposed Tri-City Area mental health and treatment center being pushed by Benton and Franklin County Commissioners.
