Tuesday morning, Gov. Jay Inslee said we "cannot guarantee approval" of any COVID vaccine unless it clears what he calls the Western States Review Process.

Inslee did not specify which states besides CA are in this process, but said it was started by CA Governor Gavin Newsome. Inslee said it will consist of an "expert panel" of "nationally recognized scientists" who will review the vaccine(s) prior to their being approved for use in WA State.

This would be, according to Inslee, an added layer of "security" for citizens. besides the Federal FDA approval. So while other states will likely begin use immediately once the Feds approve one or more vaccines, if Inslee gets his way, it will have to be reviewed by his panel.

By the way, this Western States Pact, or Western States Review Process does violate the US Constitution, which reads as follows in Article 1, Section 10:

"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."

In addition, at the 12:36 mark of the conference, Inslee said we need to be wearing masks in our own homes, and claims we let our guard down because that's where we feel safe. Chief Medical Officer Kathy Lofy, who spoke in the conference, was quick to clarify that applies to when people who are not part of immediate family visit people's homes.

And finally, at around the 16:36 mark on the video, Inslee said we're "wearin' masks" while we go shopping or to restaurants; and in his latest cringeworthy moment said "we're still enjoying life."  He claimed other states, such as Idaho, have not been able to do what we have because they've not followed the science, data, etc., had the lockdowns etc.  He obviously failed to grasp the fact that many Washington residents traveled to Idaho throughout the COVID lockdowns. And most of Idaho is in Phase 3 or higher.

We do not have any specific data yet as to exact numbers, but it's well known many businesses and residents are, or are considering, relocating to Idaho from WA state.
