Gov. Inslee got the most 'worked-up' during his press conference when talking about his "election lie" bill.

INSLEE SAYS LEGISLATORS ARE "CAREFULLY CRAFTING" A BILL

Gov. Inslee Thursday used his press conference to push his desired bill which would criminalize what he called "deception about election results,"  or election lies.

The bill would make it a misdemeanor crime for an elected official to knowingly lie about election results, and he referenced the 2020 Presidential election.

He briefly mentioned the bill legislators brought up that will rework the troubled CARES Act, the long-term care insurance coverage plan, which is being delayed until the summer of 2023.

He also again pushed the need for "Washin-tonians" to get vaccinated, and claimed the majority of persons in the hospital who have died were not vaccinated.

Nothing else of major substance affecting citizens was mentioned during his remarks in the press conference.

He was actually asked, however,about the bill (SB5909) that would curb his emergency powers, and he said he was "not very excited" about the bill.  He claimed the legislature has been "working with us."   He claims the legislature has been working with us, claiming the entire legislature is behind him--discounting Republican opposition.  The hearing for SB5909 is Friday.
