Will he end up getting a fine from the PDC? A warning?

NEW INFORMATION SAYS INSLEE SPENT TAXPAYER MONEY ON UNDISCLOSED GROUP MEMBERSHIPS

In a new video released Monday, January 24th, Glen Morgan of We The Governed released information from a WA Public Disclosure Complaint filed in November, 2021. We The Governed is a political watchdog group that keeps a close eye on public leaders and officials in WA state, and has broken a lot of news stories about misconduct.

Morgan revealed via the complaint,  that Gov. Inslee failed to disclose at least ten different political and business entities of which he is a member. They are not based in Washington state. Two of them cost taxpayers $200K in "membership fees."   Taxpayer fees, according to the PDC report, were used to fund these two memberships.

Candidates, public officials, judges, and other elected or public representative figures are required to disclose business dealings, campaign finance, and a LOT of other dealings with the PDC in the interest of ethics and clarity.

INSLEE SENDS A LETTER TO PDC WITH REQUIRED INFORMATION AND DISCLOSURES.

Morgan, in the video, reports that Inslee responded to the PDC with the required information and disclosures, which Morgan says he was not too happy about. Some of the information dates back as far as 2017 and 2018.

These groups include the Pacific Coast Collaborative, The Ocean Acidification Alliance, West Coast Ocean Alliance, and the US Climate Alliance.  The bulk of them were environmental entities.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NOW?

Morgan did not specify what information led him to file this complaint with the PDC. What lies ahead remains to be seen. He didn't say the PDC will "throw" Inslee in jail or give him the "Tim Eyman treatment" as we've seen from AG Bob Ferguson concerning Eyman's alleged misreporting.

But Inslee could be given a warning or even a fine. We are apparently still waiting for Inslee to pay back the enormous fees for his State Patrol Security detail that were rung up during his futile run for President and other out-of-state travels. Inslee countered by saying it was "state law" that he be required to take the detail with him as Governor when he travels.  But he was lit up for straining the state budget.
