On Wednesday, it was reported that the driver of a blue mini van tried to abduct a student walking to Park Middle School. The incident happened at about 11:45 am.
The victim passed a light blue mini-van style vehicle at West 10th Avenue and South Benton Street. The suspect tried engaging the student in conversation. Police say the girl ignored the suspect and kept walking. That's when Katsel allegedly exited the van. He tried to coerce the girl into the vehicle, assaulting her in the process.
