Jumping From Moving Car Doesn’t Save Dangerous Suspect From Arrest
Kennewick police got a tip about a very much wanted suspect, and found him early Thursday morning. But he didn't cooperate.
Around 1:30 am, member of the CAT (Criminal Apprehension Team) went to the 3900 block of West 7th searching for 23-year-old Michael T. Reep. He was wanted on warrants from Franklin County AND the Department of Corrections.
After seeing him get into a vehicle and drive away, the CAT team tried to pull him over, near an apartment complex in the 3400 block of West 7th. But Reep jumped from the moving car and fled. The car finally came to a stop after hitting a railroad tie.
Reep was captured and wrestled down trying to open the back door to an apartment in the 3600 block of West 6th. He's now facing a total of 7 charges and warrants. That little head start from the moving car didn't help him at all.
