Kennewick Officer ‘Chills’ With Child Found Wandering Neighborhood

Fortunately, this story had a good ending.

A little 2 year old boy was found wandering near West 4th Place and South Rainier Tuesday evening around 5:40PM. Kennewick Police got a call from a citizen  who was concerned the little boy didn't appear to have a parent or older person with them.

Officers arrived, and realized he was all by himself.  He was taken to the police station where an officer sat with him and watched cartoons, keeping him company, until his parents could be located.

Police say a relative was finally located and the boy was able to be reunited with a family member. The incident is under investigation.
