Saturday night Kennewick police arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a car at a gas station, but it's what he was doing and what he told them that was bizarre.

Shortly before 10pm police detained Jacob Dunakey, age not released, after he was seen trying to break into a car at the Tesoro Convenience store on South Gum street. Apparently Dunakey's efforts tripped the car alarm, and the victim confronted him after calling 911.

But what happened next took everyone by surprise. When Kennewick police showed up, Dunakey was standing in the middle of the road, with his hands up and his pants down around his ankles!

He told police he'd been "doing too many drugs" to explain his behavior. He's now in the Benton County jail on vehicle prowl charges. Given his inability to keep his pants up, perhaps he will be very popular with the rest of the jail population.
