Kennewick Police Answer a Woman Asking to be Shot
“What do I have to do to be shot?”
The Kennewick police answered a distraught suicidal woman by getting ready to leave.
“Officers told her they were leaving because they were not going to force a confrontation with her,” said police.
She was armed with a knife and a can of bear mace, and yelling from a window of a home in the 4200 block on West Klamath Avenue when police arrived. She then asked what she had to do to be shot.
When she realized they were going to leave, she threw down the knife and mace, and left the house.
Kennewick officers detained her and she was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center to treatment.
