Kennewick Teenagers Steal Dead Woman’s Ashes, Break Into Cars

Three 14-year-olds are in custody and police are seeking three more.

Kennewick police are investigating numerous car prowls involving broken windows and thefts over the weekend at a variety of locations.

A victim reported her car was broken into in the Columbia Center Mall Friday and the thief stole a vase containing her mother's ashes!

During a rash of burglaries one of the thieves was apparently scared off by a car alarm and left behind a pair of shoes and a skateboarding longboard.

After investigating, police were able to identify six suspects, three of whom were taken into custody.
