Kennewick Schools have released a new update on return to class for fall 2020.

According to Superintendent Dr. Traci Pierce, there are three different models developed, and which ones are used will depend greatly upon whatever direction comes from the state. There is a video and parent survey that accompanies the update.

The three possible models, for now, are:

  • An online learning academy for parents who do not want students to return to in class school
  • A remote learning model, which would be if schools cannot re open or have to close during year. This is how the District, and many others, finished the 2019-2020 year.
  •  A Hybrid model that incorporates both in class and remote learning. Students would spend several days a week in class with some remote learning from home.
