Kennewick police continue to investigate an assault on a woman that might have led to a more serious medical condition.

Tuesday mid-morning,  police responded to 4711 W. Metaline Ave and found 35-year old Traci A. Wilson suffering from what emergency medical personnel said was likely a stroke.  She was largely inconherent and having difficulty communicating with officers and first responders.

When the 911 call was first made by Wilson's sister,  authorities could hear Wilson's boyfriend, 33-year-old Michael Anthony Lorenzi Jr. yelling in the backround and cursing.  During the investigation, police determined Wilson had been the victim of a domestic assault by Lorenzi the evening of March 8th.

Lorenzi was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd. Degree Domestic Violence.  Police did not say what other injuries Wilson may have suffered, but she is currently at Trios Health Care Center (formerly Kennewick General Hospital) where she is undergoing treatment.

Police did not say if the stroke was related to the assault.
