A leading Eastern Washington financial institution is going drive-through only, starting Wednesday March 18th.

Yakima Federal Savings and Loan, who have10 branches from Yakima down the valley to Tri-Cities will be expanding their hours to 8AM to 6PM but only offering drive-through services.

However, if customers have need to open accounts or perform other banking functions they will be able to by appointment. Additional digital online banking customer service will be offered during open hours to help members with on-line questions.

But routine deposits-withdrawals and other simple transactions will only done through the drive-through.

The move is a precaution in response to the COVID-19 situation. Health and government officials are suggesting many businesses besides restaurants, offer drive-through services as long as the COVID virus is deemed a threat.

Yakima Federal is one of the longest standing savings and loan institutions in Washington state.
