Nationwide Warrant Issued for Area Child Murder Suspects
Back on February 5th of this year, hikers in a remote area of Benton County found some human skeletal remains.
Nationwide arrest warrant issued for two people
At the time of the discovery, area law enforcement, including Benton County Deputies, Pasco Police, and Franklin County Sheriff's officers retrieved the remains, which appeared to be those of a small child.
Dental records were able to identify the body as 8-year-old Edgar Casian, who had been reported missing in Pasco on May 27, 2021.
Now, two persons are being sought for First Degree Murder in relation to this case. Edgar Casian-Garcia (police say he is the father) and Araceli Medina are now wanted on the charges.
Authorities have not said specifically why these two are being sought, their whereabouts as of today is not known. According to previous reports, Edgar could not be reliably accounted for since September of 2020.
Pasco Police said at the time of the missing person's report that two of Edgar's siblings had been located in Tijuana, Mexico under what authorities said were "alarmingly dangerous conditions."
