According to new data released by pollsters in Washington state, the governor only has a 38% favorable rating, and just about 50% want somebody else in the governor's mansion after November. (Challenger Bill Bryant pictured at left).

According to the data released by officials from GOP Challenger Bill Bryant, the commissioner of the Port of Seattle is gaining traction steadily.

Officials say their greatest task is increasing his name familiarity. Bryant currently has about 35% name recognition, meaning about 4 in ten people surveyed know he's running for Governor.  Inslee has 89% name recognition, mainly because he's the governor. Bryant officials are planning a large summer TV campaign to increase his awareness, as well as continuing on social media.

38% of voters want to re-elect Inslee, which is one of the lowest incumbent numbers of any governor running for re-election this fall.

Bryant is the Commission of the Port of Seattle, and is considered a business expert due to his economic backround. He's also considered a moderate GOP candidate, but has been attacking Inslee very hard on his economic and jobs growth record, as well as his controversial environmental policies.
