Pasco K-9 Loses Battle With Skunk, But Loves His Bath

Saturday was bath day big time for K-9 Lemon of the Pasco Police Department.

It seems late Friday night he was working through some sagebrush and vegetation on a suspect track when he met a skunk. No word if he actually bit the critter, but he obviously scared it enough that it sprayed him, and got him completely covered.

Lemon had to ride back in the patrol car, probably with the windows open, then Saturday was spent with a lot of soap and water.

But according to police, he didn't mind the bath at all. Hopefully, the next time he's on patrol at night in the sagebrush he won't encounter the black and white striped stink machine!
