Pasco Kidnapping Suspect Was Apprehended in Nampa, ID
Pasco Police have released more information about the kidnapping that occurred early Sunday in Pasco.
A 16-year-old boy, Andres Gordillo, is accused of taking his six-year-old brother Mateo from his home and fled the area. However, by late Sunday he had been located and apprehended.
The boy is back with his mother, and Police say contrary to rumors, the six-year-old was not being taken from an unsafe environment.
Pasco Police say Andres was apprehended in Nampa, Idaho, about 280 miles from Tri-Cities (suburb of Boise). According to Pasco Police, the following law enforcement agencies assisted in the pursuit, location and apprehension of Andres:
"...(the) Oregon State Patrol, Jerome County Sherrif's Office, Malheur County Sherrif's Office, Nampa Police Department, Hermiston Police Department, Umatilla Police Department, Umatilla County Sheriffs Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation."
