A school bus driver is dead after a stabbing attack Friday afternoon in Pasco. A male suspect has been arrested and is facing charges.

Not many details have been released, however, we do know that the school bus driver was transporting children from Longfellow Elementary School just after 3 pm.

According to Pasco Police, the altercation happened near 9th and Shoshone.

A man got on the bus along with school children at Longfellow Elementary School.

The suspect stabbed the bus driver at least once. After the attack, the bus jumped a curb and crashed into bushes.

Police were at the scene shortly after the attack, and arrested the male suspect.

The bus driver was rushed to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries a short time later.

None of the children on the bus were injured in the attack.
