Plane Crashes Near Lind, Kills Pilot-Investigation Underway
There are a number of details still to be released.
38-year-old man dies in plane crash west of Lind
Adams County Deputies on Sunday evening were alerted to a plane that had reportedly gone down in a field east of Warden, and west of Lind, WA. The report came in around 5:40 PM.
Deputies, along with EMS and Fire from Lind headed to the scene, in the 300 block of West Lind-Warden Road. The crash scene was in a field just north of the road, about 3 miles east of Warden, and 10 miles west of Lind.
Deputies did not say what kind of aircraft was involved but did report the pilot, identified as Gavin Morse of Lind, died as a result.
No official word as to what caused the plane to crash, also we don't yet know if Morse died in the impact, or if a medical issue was involved.
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) will be conducting the investigation.
