Police Arrest Kennewick Man for Repeated Sexual Assaults

Kennewick police reported an arrest Thursday, a 19-year-old suspect was taken into custody for allegedly repeated sexual assaults on a middle school aged girl.

December 31st, police took a report concerning the alleged rape of a child. The subsequent investigation led them to arrest Rodrigo Ignacio Noguez-Tapia on 2nd Degree Child rape charges.

The investigation involved the SARC (Support Advocacy Resource Center) and the Benton County Prosecutor's office. Officials learned Tapia allegedly had sexual contact a number of times with the girl over a period of several months, they said the victim knows him.

He was contacted at his residence, and then arrested and placed in the Benton County Jail.
