Fire crews are battling a propane tank explosion and fire at Inland Tarp and Liner in Moses Lake Friday. The tank exploded, and flew over 1,000 feet away before landing!

According to news sources, including our Events Director Al Holman, the fire began at Inland, and spread to several other structures. The propane tank then ignited and exploded.  The resulting blast sent the tank flying over 1,000 feet, and triggered some haystack fires nearby.

The propane tank started a fire on Frontage Road near I-90, resulting in a closure of the freeway.  The fire, visible from Ephrata, was being contained, but as of 12:15 was not yet under control.

Keep checking back for more updates. No word of any injuries at this time.
