Richland Man Busted for Drugs, Guns in Oregon Had Previous Record
A 26-year-old man is in jail in Baker City, OR after being arrested on a variety of charges by Oregon State Police.
Richland man had previous run-in with SWAT Team
31-year-old Darrin Yeater of Richland was in the crosshairs of Oregon State Troopers following his alleged involvement in an accident near the junction of I-84 and Oregon State Route 7. However, it turned out he was not because the crash did not actually happen.
However, during the investigation on June 1st, OSP Troopers learned of multiple outstanding warrants for Yeater, and he failed to provide a valid ID. He was also suspected of providing false information.
K-9 Unit brought to scene
Due to probable cause, a search of Yeater's vehicle turned up meth, coke, fentanyl pills, and powder, plus four handguns, one of them a revolver. Troopers also found a rifle and a semi-automatic rifle without a serial number. (Note-some reports claimed it was an assault rifle).
In addition to these items, there was also evidence he was committing ID theft as well. The investigation continues.
Previously, in 2017, Yeater was involved in a Kennewick standoff with the SWAT Team, authorities had been searching for Yeater for his possession of drugs and illegally having a firearm.
