Richland Woman Hits Elk on Highway 240 This Morning

I've never heard of this happening on Highway 240 in Tri-Cities but it did this morning at around 6 a.m.... well technically just outside of Tri-Cities

A 64-year-old Richland woman was transported to a local hospital after her vehicle struck an Elk on Highway 240 at milepost 8 in the Hanford area. No word on the condition of the woman at this time...

Keep your eyes peeled for large animals, especially this time of year!
