West Richland Police are searching for a 58-year-old man in connection with an attempted break in at a home on Oct. 15th.

Originally, WRPD had released video from a Ring Doorbell security system, seeking to ID the man, who tried to enter a home on Northlake Drive. The alleged incident occurred during very late night hours, there was some indication the occupants were not home due to a package and perhaps a newspaper on the porch.

Monday Oct. 19, WRPD now says "Victor B. Hilton is a person of interest in this case."

Hilton is a registered as a sex offender, but the state, but is being sought for failure to do legally mandated registering as a sex offender. No specifics in that case were released by WRPD, but they are looking for him.

A preliminary search did not reveal sex offender data for anyone matching his name in our area.
