Shoplifting Bust Leads to Arrest of Unrelated Wanted Suspect in Kennewick
Sometimes the pieces all just come together.
Kennewick police responded to a shoplifting report at the Jen Smoke and Gift shop on Kennewick Ave. Wednesday afternoon. A review of the store's surveillance video identified the suspect as 29-year-old Randee B. Anderson. She stole several packs of cigarettes and got way in a white Honda Civic that was parked outside waiting for her. Store workers got the license plate.
Then a short time later, officers responded to a suspicious car report in the area of 4511 West 9th. and saw the SAME Honda. The car was stopped, and the driver, 25-year-old Teren Underwood, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. His passenger? You guessed it-Anderson. It also seems that same car was stopped even earlier for a traffic violation prior to the shoplifting, and the patrol officer in that incident confirmed it was her with Underwood at that time.
